SCD-20

RS-422 8-16 bit parallel General
purpose
parallel and
synchronous
serial data
transfer
The different SCD boards differ primarily in signal level. Configurable through field programmable gate array (FPGA) files.

Standard FPGAs shipped with SCD products include:

  • External clock with TXT looped from RXT
  • Internal clock from the SCD
  • SSD (synchronous serial) option with 1, 2 or 4 input channels, 1 input and 1 output, or synchronous serial output
  • SCD-8, 2-channel (input/output) 8-bit parallel
  • Custom FPGAs are also available.

The SSD4 is actually a SCD-20 with an SSD4 FPGA (included in the SCD-20 package) downloaded. The hardware is identical to the SCD-20; separate product listings and datasheets are maintained for historical purposes only.

    disk drives
Parallel data transfer up to 8Mb/sec, compatible with Digital Equipment Corp. DR11-W.
General purpose high speed parallel data transfer. Rates up to 10Mb/sec. Programmable control signals.
MIL-STD 1553B Serial Aircraft and spacecraft
    system bus
    (control and monitoring)
1 Mbit per second serial bus interface, used where reliability in extreme environments is essential. Initializes as a single RT; after initialization, can be configured as required through software commands.
