AIA (LVDS & RS-422) Digital Video Camera Support

All AIA (pre-Camera Link) boards have been discontinued. This information below is provided for archival / reference only.

Most AIA Monochrome, Category 1, extended single channel digital cameras and some color cameras can be supported by the PCI DV and PCI DVa. A subset are also supported by the PCI DVK and RCX AIA (LVDS/RS-422). Cables and configuration files are available for the following cameras, which have been tested at EDT labs.

Be sure to check the cable list for your specific camera, as not all cameras are supported on all devices. Additionally, EDT’s framegrabber-end cables for the RCX LVDS/RS-422 modules are designed to connect only to EDT framegrabbers; connectivity for third-party FGs is only available by special arrangement.

EDT may be able to support other cameras — if your camera is not on this list, go here.

For Camera Link cameras, follow this link.

1. For simpler cabling with cameras that output straight-through with 68-pin connectors, PCI DVK can also be used.
2. Internal oscillator option may need to be installed in the camera. Dalsa D6 models require option OPT-DALSA D6 to the PCI DV. Contact EDT for details on specific models of DALSA cameras supported.
3. For simpler cabling, the 44-pin PCI DV 44 is recommended for this camera.
4. Requires PCI DVa RS-422 option
