PCI Express 8-lane interface for Camera Link
The PCIe8 DVa C-Link has been superseded by the VisionLink series framegrabbers, the VisionLink F1 and VisionLink F4. The information on this page is provided for reference only.
The PCIe8 DVa C-Link is a Camera Link frame grabber that provides high-resolution image capture for CCD and CMOS digital video cameras. It has two MDR 26-pin connectors to support one full-, one medium-, or up to two base-mode cameras.
The compact, half-length board fits in any 8- or 16-lane PCI Express slot. Images are captured and displayed in real time, and camera speed, resolution, and number of buffers are limited only by host bandwidth and memory.
The board supports the standard mode control lines, has an on-board UART for camera control, external trigger inputs, and Power over Camera Link (PoCL). Optional features include backpanel LEMO connector for external triggering, IRIG-B timecode input for precise timestamping of images, and 1GB DDR2 memory for storage of high speed runs of a finite number of images. Be sure to specify any options when ordering.
System must have a PCI Express bus (x8 or x16) that is not dedicated to display use only. See system requirements.
Note: This board supersedes the legacy PCIe8 DV C-Link. The new (DVa) version is functionally backwards compatible with the legacy board, and any applications developed for the legacy DV will work unmodified with the DVa version.
