16-bit I/O interface for PCI

The PCI 16D has been discontinued and is no longer available. The information on this page is provided for use by existing customers, however our ability to provide ongoing support is limited.

  • Single PCI bus slot
  • Continuous input or output
  • Rates to 10 megabytes per second
  • Supports buffered block modes with internal FIFO
  • Programmable control signal configurations
  • 4 gigabyte DVMA addressing
  • Device drivers for Windows and Linux

The PCI 16D provides a high-speed, 16-bit, continuous data I/O interface for PCI computers. This interface is used for computer to device connection where speed and continuous processing are essential. The PCI 16D will support 10 megabyte per second transfers.

The PCI 16D may be used to enable the transfer of data to or from the host computer. Typical applications include A-D and D-A converters, telemetry systems, and video systems.

Device drivers for supported operating systems are included with the board, as well as several utility and example programs and a C language interface library. The driver provides access to the PCI 16D through standard system I/O calls.

  • Precision impedance cables in 7, 25, and 50 foot lengths
  • Cable adapters
  • Loopback diagnostic connector kit
